Aucun parcours académique en arts visuels ou en photographie, je suis économiste d'entreprise.  Ce qui m'amène à la photographie est relativement récent: le voyage. J'ai grandi en Suisse à Lausanne et passé une majeure partie de mon enfance en montagne dans un chalet d'alpage. Seul enfant dans ce fond de vallée, et en contraste avec le quartier populaire où je vivais à Lausanne, j'y ai appris à écouter et observer la nature.

Quelques années plus tard, je découvre la route, la vie dans une tribu, le froid d'un trek long de plusieurs semaines, une situation déraisonnable et risquée, le sourire charmeur d'une inconnue, une vie très différente de mon cocon suisse. Je veux me souvenir de tout, je veux le partager, mais plus seulement par des mots. Je ne fais qu'observer.

I have no academic background in visual arts or photography. I am a business economist. I was recently introduced to photography while traveling. I grew up in Lausanne, Switzerland and spent most of my childhood in a typical chalet in the mountains. In contrast to busy Lausanne, I was the only child in the valley so, while there, I learned to listen and watch nature.
A few years have passed and my experiences have led me to discover the road, life in a tribe, the cold of a weeks long trek, a risky and unreasonable situation, a stranger’s charming smile. In other words, a life undeniably different from my Swiss cocoon. I wish to remember everything and I wish to share it, but words aren’t enough anymore. And so I observe.
